Convert and Plot Days and Years

The conversions performed with the tools on this web site have a shortcoming that was not expected. The shortcoming is Mother Earth in all its glory. While working on the days and years unit converter we learned that the earthquake in Chile on February 27, 2010, shifted the Earth's axis resulting in shorter days. The change is not significant since it is only 1.26 microseconds, but hopefully we will not experience many such earthquakes in the future.

We had planned to measure the year as 365.2425 days, but we have officially changed it to 365.24204 after the measurements on the axis shift. Unit facts: One year is now 365.24204 days. One day is 0.0027379104552148487616595285690552 years.

Tip! Try out the Fibonacci dataset generator and see units get exponentially larger.
